Idk how to feel when people greet me these days saying "Happy" Memorial Day. I don't think they fully understand the point. Recognize that all of us (soldiers) have something. Some of us gave all. There are others I could share about but those brothers & sisters were not blood relatives, but we definitely were related. I, like many others shared the same heart. Literally blood, sweat & tears. Many people could care less about what we've been thru. Selfish folks go about their day never grateful for the freedoms we have, clueless of our sacrifices.

Families get broken up because spouses never tried to adapt nor understand how to love us.
Friends judge how we choose to spend our time, not knowing a soldier's mind is calibrated differently than most. Knowing at any time, we could be called to go anywhere in the world and possibly not return. No matter how you feel about America, it does not change our choice to sacrifice. That commitment. That dedication. That honor deserves and demands our respects.

My buddy Dave was a real one. A family man. A friend. A teammate. Someone who would do it all over again if he could. I'm honored to have known you brother. We are truly protectors of the Earth. You, like many others will never be forgotten! 🎖️🪖🛡️⚔️🙏🏽✊🏽
