🚨 USDA is announcing historic payments of $13.8 BILLION to eligible agricultural producers for the 2025 crop year through USDA Farm Service Agency's Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage programs.

Thanks to President Donald J. Trump's Working Families Tax Cuts Act that increased reference prices, this is the largest annual payout by far since these key safety net programs were established in the 2014 Farm Bill.

🌽 Important Crop Insurance Reminder for Corn & Soybean Producers 🌱
Due to excessive moisture this season, we're seeing reports of sprouting, kernel damage, discoloration, and mold in corn and soybean crops across the area.
If you have concerns about crop quality, it's important to understand how these issues may affect your crop insurance claim.
✅ Kernel Damage Discounts
• Corn: 10.01% - 35%
• Soybeans: 8.01% - 35%
When grain is delivered to the elevator, kernel damage can be evaluated on a load-by-load basis. If grain is being farm stored, samples may need to be taken from the storage structure to determine damage levels.
📋 What Should You Do? If you suspect kernel damage:
1. Take a sample to your local elevator for testing.
2. Keep all settlement sheets and documentation.
3. Contact your crop insurance agent to discuss filing a claim if excessive damage is found.
⚠️ Mycotoxin Concerns If mycotoxins are suspected, samples must be collected before the grain enters storage. Quality adjustment testing used for insurance purposes must be completed through the Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS).
⏰ Important Deadlines • Harvest losses involving production loss must be reported within 15 days of harvest completion for the unit. • Quality samples must be obtained within 60 days of harvest.
🌾 Don't Forget: Grain conditioning is strongly recommended. Deterioration that occurs while grain is in storage is not a covered cause of loss.
