Hey everyone — big update from the Fed today!

They just cut the federal funds rate by .25%, their first rate cut this year. Fed officials also signaled two more cuts could happen before the end of 2025. 

Here’s where it gets important for mortgages: this doesn’t necessarily mean mortgage rates drop automatically. Mortgage rates are more driven by what’s happening in the bond market, expectations about inflation, and investor demand.

But good news - this kind of Fed action can create market movements and opportunity. If you’re thinking of buying, refinancing, or just curious what your home loan could look like, I’d love to chat! Give me a call anytime!
