Earlier this year I stayed in a Dolly Parton themed Airbnb in Nashville and it was AMAZING!! Losing yet another icon really makes you stop and think… if I died today, what legacy am I leaving behind.

I am no where close to being an icon like Dolly but she inspired me and so many others to live our true authentic lives. I help guide people everyday to ensuring they leave behind the financial legacy they want for their loved ones and charities.

What a successful afternoon.

My client has had a 401k from a previous employer sitting untouched for years. They didn't mind receiving multiple statements each month and they said they honestly didn't pay much attention to them anyway. They didn't want to "hassle" with it.

As we sat down to review their plan and goals, I asked them one simple question. "Do you have more than one dentist?" They looked at me completely confused and said no why would I! To which I replied, "If you trust one dentist to know your dental history and create a plan to keep you healthy, why wouldn't you trust one financial planner to keep your financial plan healthy?"

As a financial planner we work with our clients to create a plan that helps them to not outlive their money. Not being able to see the full picture of what they have in other locations places a strain on the plan. We called the company together and initiated a rollover all within 10 minutes and they were so very grateful! It wasn't a "hassle" after all!

Scam artists have been known to impersonate loved ones, tricking older adults into providing financial information or sending money to an unknown account. Always ask questions that only your loved one can answer or call your family member back at a number that you know to be legitimate.
