Dr. A.L. Speck was a treasured part of Citizens National Bank for decades, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to recognize him and share a little of his story. His leadership, wisdom, friendship, and unmistakable presence will be greatly missed.

As family, friends, and our community gather today to celebrate Dr. Speck’s life, we hope you’ll take a moment to look back with us and remember a very special member of the Citizens family.

Dr. Speck’s funeral service will be held today at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Brownwood.

We are saddened to share the passing of Director, A. Lee Speck, a retired Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, who passed away Sunday morning.

Dr. Speck faithfully served on our Board of Directors for decades, including the last several years alongside his daughter, Leesa. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to Citizens National Bank and our community will always be remembered.

His funeral will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Brownwood.

We will especially miss his friendly, booming voice as he walked into the bank each Thursday for Loan Committee and Board meetings. His presence, wisdom, and friendship will be deeply missed.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Leesa, Tom, Gregg, and the entire Speck family during this difficult time.
