ECHS teacher Chaundra Vincent was awarded the 2025 Edmonson County Farm Bureau Excellence in Ag Literacy Award. The award is presented to recognize and reward teachers who are incorporating agriculture concepts in their core classes and to help students understand how important agriculture is in their daily life. These young ladies represented Edmonson County at the 2025 District 3 Ky Farm Bureau youth contests held in Elizabethtown last night.
Congratulations to sixth grader Eleni Pierce for winning first place in the Variety contest with her rendition of Lainey Wilson’s “Wildflowers and Wild Horses”.
Participating in the Outstanding Youth speech and interview contest was senior Addison Miller, delivering an excellent speech “Losing the Land that Feeds Us”.

Edmonson County Farm Bureau was happy to host the 2025 District 3 Women’s Planning Meeting. We welcomed county FB women’s committee members and other guests to discuss and plan our upcoming youth contests and some ways we could promote ag literacy. It was a great day!

Thank you to Miss Addie Miller, daughter of T.J. and Mendi Miler, our student representing Edmonson County at the 2025 University of KY IFAL conference.
The Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) Program is a five-day summer leadership conference for high school juniors that exposes students to college life, explores fields of study for ag careers, and provides leadership development.
