Back in 2008, when the market was crashing, I was broke…dead broke. A series of personal events caused me to look at myself in the mirror and conclude “SOMETHING HAD TO CHANGE!!!”. So…November 1st, 2008 was the day I became a real estate investor. Though I hadn’t done a deal yet, I took the first step toward that end…I MADE A DECISION…that decision was to do whateve
r it took to succeed in real estate investing. For the next almost 2 years, I dove head first into learning real estate investing. I read books, listened to podcasts, watched youtube videos, attended REIA clubs, bought courses, and took investors to lunch in order to learn about how to make money investing in real estate. It took me almost 2 years to do my first deal, but in August of 2010 I finally did it…pocketed $1,000 on a wholesale deal in Colorado Springs. Well…350+ deals later, (including single family homes, hotels, office buildings…you name it…I’ve bought it) and over $55 Million in real estate deals, I’ve looked back at how I got to where I am, how the trajectory of my life has changed, and how I can help others. Reflecting back on why/how I got started is the reason I founded REI School…the world’s most SUCCESSFUL Real Estate Investing Coaching Program on the planet. I’m convinced, that if REI School had been around when I first got started (when my life really needed to change), I would have been able to avoid a lot of headaches, started making money a lot faster, and it would have cost me a lot less. Our strategy is a simple one…COURSES > COACHING. You see…to be successful, you need education AND action. Education without action is useless…action without education is foolish.
