Marple Township Property Owners,

FYI Marple Township Municipal Tax bills were mailed out on Friday 1/31 and have started to hit the mailbox today 2/3.

Discount due date is Monday March 31. We will be open extended hours on this day from 8:00 AM-6:00 PM.

As always we are open Monday-Friday 9:00-4:00 in the Marple Township Building located below the Marple Public Library. We will be closed holidays, please see the bill for those dates.

Also a reminder that the trash/refuse bill that was sent out in February in years passed, was combined into 1 bill along with the sewer beginning in 2024. Be on the lookout for it in April/May. That bill is not collected by the tax office.

Also, as you may have read, Delaware County enacted a significant tax increase on our county tax bills. This has no effect on our Municipal tax bill.

If you have not received your tax bill by Friday, please reach out to our office @ 610-356-0550 or by email [email protected]

Thank you,

FYI to all property owners of Marple Township.

School Tax Bills

Tax bills will be mailed Tuesday or Wednesday this week, as of when I spoke with the printer on Friday. You will, as by state law, have 60 days to pay in discount and another 60 days to pay at face. The clock doesn’t start running until they are mailed.

If you elect to pay by installments they will be 30 days from mailing and 90 for the second and 150 days for the third installment.

I am using a new printer for this year and have spent a lot of time prepping and getting the bills right.

If anyone would like to pay this week prior to receiving the bill, we can print one off of our computer in the office and allow you to pay at the window.

As always, our hours are 9-4 weekdays.

Thank you for your patience,

Dear Residents:

The Marple Township tax bills were sent out a couple weeks ago to all property owners, however the printing company in error used the wrong data file, which contained 2022 owners names and assessments.

After realizing these errors, they were to send out a new bill to the approximately 300 property owners whose bills were incorrectly assessed or had the wrong property owner listed.

Without consultation or acceptance the printing company sent every resident a new bill.

I apologize for any confusion. For 7,900 property owners this is a duplicate bill and both are the same exact bill amount. If you have paid already, and the amount is the same, please disregard the new notice.

For those 300 or so, you are probably receiving your first bill, so you can use the new bill.

For the 15-20 property owners who have been involved in property assessment cases and litigation, your new bill will contain the current assessment.

I apologize for the inconvenience of getting 2 bills.

As a reminder those who are taking advantage of the discount, the tax bill is due March 31, 2023.

Thank you,

John Capuzzi

To all homeowner: Update. School tax bills have been dropped for mailing on Thursday July 21. You should see them starting today in the mail.

I apologize for any inconvenience. We have been dealing with a new bill printer/ mailing house, and they dropped the ball. They are supposed to be the go to for tax bills, however we will be looking for a new company for January.

As always our office will be open Monday-Friday 9:00-4:00. There will be an extra 6 days added to all dates on the bill.

Thank you,

John Capuzzi
