Yes and no’s?!
Q: Do I need to call you to get a quote?
A: no. It’s 2023. Email, message, text, stop in office, make an appointment, mail me your info, send a message in a bottle..we accept all forms of communication and understand different ways work for different people. Work, sports, kids schedules, dinner, chores, etc effect our Daily schedules. We’re here to make things easier, not harder!
Q: do I need copies of all of my policies to get a quote?
A: no. While we like to be able to reference what coverages you carry to make sure you are not getting quoted with lesser coverages, you can still get a quote by just providing a little bit of personal info. You may hear some people say “apples to apples.” I’m not one of them. I’m not fond of this quoting style because I want to offer you my best recommendation based on coverage and price.
Q: do you get a better price using an online platform versus an agent?
A: no! Well maybe, but if you’re doing it yourself or using a quoted, do you even know if it’s good? Do you know if it’s missing something? Do you know if there are other discounts available, guidlines, what happens when you convert to a policy, how to cancel your old insurance, who’s going to service your policy , etc? Using an agent means you are using someone who has a relationship with the company, who can make claims, payments, talk to the company on your behalf, print and mail or email you documents and info on a whim & celebrate life with you! There are many milestones that trigger coverage changes. A one stop shop that can help with your teen drivers, your new home, new camp, life insurance, health, your new business you started, your Medicare planning & retirement questions means you can insure somewhere that knows you & will be there for you and your family when you need it.
Q: Aren’t all insurance agents the same?
A: no. Not even close. Some are subject to only certain companies while others represent independent agencies with a variety of companies. Some have one license while others have multiple. Some do the bare minimum to maintain their licensing requirements and others kill themselves keeing up with eduction and learning their craft through complex courses and earning designations. Don’t be afraid to ask your agent about their credentials!
