Happy Tax Day!

Did you know Tax Day wasn’t always April 15? When the income tax was first introduced after the Ratification of the 16th Amendment, the filing deadline was actually March 1… then March 15… and it wasn’t until 1955 that the Internal Revenue Service moved it to April 15 to give taxpayers more time and ease the workload.

Not exactly a “holiday,” but definitely an important day
