It's a cold, rainy, dark fall evening. I am coming home from work and traveling from the "city" to the country. Wisconsin is abundant with deer so I am constantly scanning the roads and ditches looking for the glowing eyes of deer.

Twice a month we make lunches for the women at Meta House, Inc.. While this is rewarding on its own, my favorite part is getting together as a team and strategizing on how we can make the women’s lives better.

Most months it is handwritten notes, decorated bags and local treats from our favorite bakery Simply Cinnamon Bakery.

The Meta House gave us a nickname of “fancy meat” because we roll each piece of lunch meat before it hits the bread. Today “Fancy Meat” leveled up with cute Easter baskets.

Giving back is rewarding and fun. This is truly a team effort. Thank you everyone for making this happen.

Thank you to our amazing bagged lunch donors! Our clients are so thankful for your time and kindness. These Easter bags were a hit! Each had Easter eggs with candy and professionally commissioned frosted cookies.

Winter Storm Hazards
Be on the lookout for the following winter storm hazards:
• Adverse driving conditions, such as low visibility and slippery roadways
• Icy walkways and sidewalks, which could cause slips and falls
• Falling objects, like icicles, tree limbs and utility poles
• Electrocution due to downed power lines or downed objects in contact with power lines
• Exhaustion, dehydration and back injuries from conducting manual labor in the snow

Specific—A specific goal is simple and strategic. For example, eating healthier or more specifically lower my cholesterol by eating more vegetables Measurable- I cup of vegetables at every meal Achievable - I'd add 4 days a week or just 1 cup at dinner because every meal wouldn't happen Relevant- I'd like to lower my cholesterol Timely- lower cholesterol by March 1 my next doctor appointment

Today fruit cake is celebrated. A fruitcake is a boozy, chewy, blend of dried fruit, nuts, and sugar, saturated with alcohol, most commonly brandy or bourbon. This is the one childhood sweet my dad got all to himself. Thoughts? Yes or No
