Traveling for Labor Day? Don’t Let Fraud Come Along. 🇺🇸

Whether you’re heading out of town or simply enjoying the long weekend, a few simple precautions can help keep your accounts protected.

Monitor your transactions while you’re away, avoid accessing financial accounts on unsecured public Wi-Fi, and take an extra look before using unfamiliar ATMs or payment terminals. If something doesn’t look right, don’t use it.

And remember: scammers love urgency. Be cautious of unexpected calls, texts or emails asking you to verify account information or make an immediate payment.

Enjoy the long weekend, and leave the fraudsters behind.

🚨 CONSUMER ALERT: Your bank’s name on Caller ID doesn’t mean it’s your bank calling.

Scammers are becoming increasingly sophisticated, spoofing phone numbers, sending convincing fraud-alert texts, and impersonating financial institutions to create a sense of urgency.

A common scenario starts with a call or text claiming there’s suspicious activity on your account. The scammer may then pressure you to provide personal information, share a security code, click a link, or even move money to “protect” it.

Remember:

• Never share your password, PIN or one-time security code with an unexpected caller.
• Don’t click links in suspicious banking texts or emails.
• Never move money because someone claiming to be your bank tells you it’s necessary to “keep it safe.”
• Don’t trust Caller ID alone - phone numbers can be spoofed.
• When in doubt, STOP. Hang up and contact your bank directly using a trusted number.

At All Capital Bank, we believe an informed customer is one of the strongest defenses against fraud. Stay alert, trust your instincts, and when something doesn’t feel right, talk to a real banker.

This National Senior Citizens Day, take a few minutes to help the older adults in your life strengthen their digital security.

Review passwords together. Turn on multi-factor authentication when available. Make sure recovery information is current. And remind them to never share passwords, PINs or verification codes with someone who unexpectedly calls, texts or emails.

Scammers are constantly changing their tactics, but having a trusted family member or banker to call when something doesn’t feel right can make a difference.

Today, celebrate the seniors you love by helping them stay a little safer online.

Text messages claiming to be from UPS about a missed delivery, unpaid shipping fee, or package delay are becoming increasingly common, and they're designed to steal your personal and financial information.

Before you click:

📱 Don't open unexpected links.
🔍 Verify your package status through the official UPS website or app.
💳 Never provide payment or banking information through a text message.
🚩 If something feels off, trust your instincts and delete the message.

Scammers count on urgency. Take a moment to verify before you respond.

At All Capital Bank, protecting your financial security is always a priority. 💙
