Already having fun on this wonderful holiday! Started w cleaning 200 ft of white vinyl fence. Normally I borrow the next door neighbors power washer. Today, it was brushed down with soap, vinegar, and water...much like in the "Karate Kid" movie...swipe right, swipe left, up brush, down brush...whatever the line was.

Sadly, I'll have to clean the remainder another day.
My arms and shoulders are expired. I think a power washer is in my near future.

Texas..thank you for passing on the heat-wave. At least it's a dry heat today. Nothing like the days while at Texas A & M when riding my bike 3 miles to the campus in 85% humidity and a mere 102 outside. July and August are brutal when the humidity is present.

Now..a few things people forget to do in the Summer...check your radiator fluid level, with binoculars look up at the roof where pipes extrude through the roof...look to see if the rubber seals are cracked ( water will soak your intetior if damaged), check car batteties ( extreme heat and cold affect performance...primarily the cold) ..though many hate this, but keep your thermostat set no more than 25 degrees below the outside temperature ( 105 - 25 = 80) otherwise your unit is working extremely hard all day.

So...others know additional items to be concerned with in the extreme heat wave...share a few.
