Heads up, Massachusetts boaters!

As of April 1, 2026, a valid boater safety certificate is required for anyone operating a motorboat or personal watercraft in Massachusetts. Certification timelines vary based on birthdate, and all operators will be required to carry proof of completion when boating. Now’s a great time to plan ahead before boating season begins.

We are thrilled to announce that Jean Lyon has officially earned her Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation — recognizing advanced knowledge in property and casualty insurance and agency operations.

Jean has been working in insurance since 2011 in claims, appraisal and agency roles. Jean originally joined the Roger Keith & Sons team in 2021 as a Commercial Lines Account Manager. After a brief return to claims with Mapfre, she returned to the agency in 2025, where she currently serves as a Commercial Lines Client Service Associate.

Outside of work, Jean enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their cats and acting in local theater productions.

We’re incredibly proud of her hard work and commitment to excellence.

Meet our Commercial Lines Assistant - Andrea Dormady! Andrea celebrates six years with the agency in August. What Andrea enjoys most about her role is simple: the relationships she’s built with both colleagues and clients.

Andrea's proudest moments come from problem-solving and making someone’s day a little easier. She has a wealth of hands-on experience, and embraces the constant learning curve of insurance, drawing inspiration from many of the leaders she's worked with along the way.

A graduate of Duxbury High School and a lifelong Duxbury native, Andrea began her career at Alexander & Alexander in Boston. Over the years, she's carried with her one key piece of advice: there is almost nothing that can’t be fixed.

Outside of work, Andrea has a truly unique passion, as she shows, breeds and judges Irish Wolfhounds. After a busy day, you’ll likely find her unwinding with her hounds, combining relaxation with what she loves most.

A self-described early bird who runs on coffee, Andrea brings an active energy to her personal and professional life. Her favorite movie is The Man from Snowy River, and her most recently played song is Queen’s classic Bohemian Rhapsody.

If given the chance to swap jobs for a day, she would step into the shoes of her veterinarian, perhaps not surprising given her love of animals. And she might joke about it but one of Andrea's hidden talents—replacing screens—comes in handy more often than you’d think!
