Maria Giordano Is a full-time real estate investor. She initially got her start doing vacation rentals, fix-n-flip properties then moved to buy and hold and later to spec builds and land development. In her former life, Maria was a trauma nurse working days, nights, weekends, and
holidays, and not seeing much of her family. She learned early on that real estate was the answer, creating wealth, cash flow, income, and time with her family.

Pittsburgh Real Estate Investor Area Meetups

Networking is essential to the success of all kinds of businesses including real estate. Networking allows you to learn from the experience of others, gain new clients, and promote yourself and your business.

Check out these local real estate investor top meeting locations and start meeting other investors in the area. Note that some meetings were postponed or changed to online due to COVID.

1. Pittsburgh Real Estate Investment Association: Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center (3579 Masonic Way, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, United States). The Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center is located in Pittsburgh’s North Hills, just minutes from downtown. Home to a number of Masonic and fraternal organizations, the GPMC hosts private, public and theater events throughout the year. It is the usual meeting place for Pittsburgh Real Estate Investment Association (REIA). Pittsburgh REIA is an organization that would identify new business opportunities, share information that could benefit their survival and future growth, and promote networking that would not only provide introductions but lead to collaboration on new business ventures between members.

2. Active Community for Real Estate Entrepreneurs (ACRE): DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh - Green Tree (500 Mansfield Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, United States). The hotel is just off I-376, 15 minutes from Pittsburgh International Airport and 5 miles from Downtown Pittsburgh attractions including Heinz Field, home to the Pittsburgh Steelers. This hotel is the venue for meetings held by a real estate organization called ACRE Pittsburgh. It is an educational and networking association specifically designed for the real estate investor, landlord and property manager. ACRE help the real estate entrepreneur in gaining practical knowledge of real estate investments and management through education, discussion and networking.

3. Southwestern PA Investors Group (SWIG): Giannilli's II Restaurant & Lounge (4816 State St #30, Greensburg, PA 15601, United States). Southwestern PA Investors Group (SWIG) usually held their monthly meetings at Giannilli’s. SWIG is a group of real estate investors that meet monthly to discuss anything real estate investing related like flipping, rehabbing, land lording etc. Giannilli's II Restaurant & Lounge is a casual, kid-friendly restaurant & catering hall preparing traditional Italian cuisine.

4. Alex Deacon Real Estate Networking Workshops: Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-Bridgeville (150 Old Pond Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017, United States). It is a place where the Alex Deacon Real Estate Networking Workshops held meetings. The meeting will focus on learning to invest from a local expert Alex Deacon, an investor with vast amounts of experience in the Pittsburgh market. Hampton Inn Pittsburgh-Bridgeville located in Bridgeville, PA off exit 54 from I-79, just 6 miles from Southpointe, and half a mile from Topgolf, Abele and Bursca Business parks. The hotel is also located just 17 miles from Pittsburgh International Airport and offers easy access to downtown Pittsburgh.
