Fall is calling, and Hibernation Station is answering. πŸ‚

There's a reason people drive hours to watch these mountains turn color β€” and an even better reason to do it from a warm cabin instead of a crowded overlook. September through November is peak season in Tucker County, and we've got a front-row seat.

Wake up to fog rolling through the valley. Spend your day chasing color at Blackwater Falls or Dolly Sods. Come back to a cabin that's already warm and already yours.

Fall weekends go fast in Canaan Valley β€” book now.

Not every trip needs a reason. Sometimes you just need a quiet cabin, a hot tub, and a couple of days where nobody needs anything from you.

That's what fall in Tucker County is good for. Whether it's a weekend with your spouse, a trip with friends, or a solo reset, September and October are the months I'd point you toward every time.

The calendar's filling in β€” go ahead and get your dates.

β€œLeaf Peepers”

🍁 The Leaf Peepers are coming… and Davis is the place to be!

The 2026 Leaf Peepers Festival is September 25–27 in Davis, celebrating the arrival of fall with a full weekend of activities, music, crafts, cars, food and β€” of course β€” spectacular mountain color.

And here's the best part:

You don't have to drive home after enjoying it.

Make the weekend a mountain getaway at Hibernation Station – Unit 85. 🏑

Spend the day exploring the festival and surrounding mountains, then come back to your cabin, soak in the private hot tub and relax.

Where are you going to stay?

September 25-27 is Leaf Peepers Festival, and if you've never been, you're missing one of the best weekends Tucker County puts on all year β€” local vendors, mountain crafts, live music, and it lines up almost exactly with peak color around Davis and Canaan Valley.

I'll be straight with you: cabins near the festival book out fast, and Hibernation Station is close enough to walk into the middle of it, but quiet enough you can still get away from it at night. If Leaf Peepers is on your list, this is the weekend to reserve now, not the week before.
