Stopped by Barnes & Noble in Southlake with Big Brady this week 📚

The mission was simple: find a couple of good books. Mission accomplished.

Brady picked out two new reads and we spent a little time looking around before heading out. Always a good day when you leave with a book you’re excited to start.

What’s your all-time favorite book? Looking for recommendations. 👀

Me and my brother checked out Founder’s Plaza in Grapevine this week ✈️

Honestly, I’m surprised more people don’t know about this place. You get an incredible view of incoming aircraft landing at DFW Airport, and it’s one of the coolest free attractions I’ve come across in North Texas.

If you’ve never been, I’d highly recommend checking it out at least once.

What are some other hidden gems around DFW that most people don’t know about? 👀

You might be surprised how little you actually need to buy a home.

One of the biggest myths in real estate is that you need 20% down to purchase a house. The truth? Many buyers qualify with much less.

In this video, I break down common down payment options and what they could mean for your homebuying journey. If you’ve been waiting because you thought you needed a huge pile of cash, this one’s for you.

My brother Brady and I made a quick stop at the Swig in Grapevine to see what all the hype was about.

One thing I love about places like this is that no two visits have to be the same. With so many custom drink combinations, it feels like everyone has their own favorite creation.

Safe to say we had a good time testing out a few options and seeing what makes this place such a popular stop.

If you’ve been to Swig before, what’s your go-to order?

I love finding places that have stood the test of time.

Today’s lunch stop took me to Jacksboro, Texas to try the “world famous” Herd's Hamburgers. What makes this place special isn’t just the food—it’s the history. Herd’s has been serving burgers since 1916 and is still owned and operated by the same family over 100 years later.

In a world where restaurants come and go, there’s something pretty incredible about a family business that’s survived for generations.

Safe to say I couldn’t leave Jacksboro without seeing what all the hype was about.

Know another hidden gem I need to visit? Drop it in the comments and follow along as I continue exploring North Texas one stop at a time.

I have no idea how it took me this long to try North_texas_smoke BBQ.

I’ve heard people talk about this place for years, but after finally making the trip, I get it. There was a reason they earned a spot on Texas Monthly’s Top 50 BBQ Joints in Texas list.

The hype was real. 🔥

We walked into Costco with a simple grocery list.

Thirty minutes later we somehow had enough food to survive the next apocalypse… and still found room for a stop at the food court. 🌭🥤

A successful Costco trip if you ask me.

A lot of people spend years thinking homeownership is out of reach… when in reality, they were closer than they realized.

Most buyers don’t fail because the process is impossible — they fail because nobody ever explained their options clearly. From low down payment programs to seller concessions and flexible loan products, there are more paths to homeownership than people think. 🏡

The goal of this video is simple: make the process feel less scary and a lot more achievable.

Episode 4 of The Jake Show is officially here: “Shaboink.” 🌹😂

This week, our normal co-host Corbin McBride is out — but don’t worry, he’ll be back next episode. In his place is Jake’s lovely girlfriend Tanya, or simply: “T.”

On this unnecessarily romantic episode, Jake and T talk about:

How a years-long friendship somehow turned into a relationship

The chaotic game night that unexpectedly got a little spicy

Why Tanya almost ruined everything by backing out of bringing beans to Jake’s party

How Extra Extra Hot Flamin’ Cheetos may have saved the relationship before it even started

Relationship green flags, red flags, and several stories that probably should’ve stayed private

Somewhere between candlelight, bad decisions, and emotional damage, this became the most dramatic episode of The Jake Show so far.
