Thinking about using an FHA loan to buy a home in 2027? 🏡 Your credit score may be evaluated differently.

Starting in 2027, FHA lenders will be able to use newer credit scoring models, including FICO 10T and VantageScore 4.0, alongside the traditional mortgage credit scores used today.

These newer models look at credit differently, including trends in how you manage debt over time. That means lenders could see a different picture of your creditworthiness. 📊

It doesn’t automatically mean a higher or lower score, but if buying a home is in your 2027 plans, it’s worth understanding the changes now.
