What has changed at your house in the last few years?
A new driver?
A new shed?
An expensive purchase?
A business running from home?
Each one can affect a different part of the policy.
Take the shed example:
A home insured for $250,000 may have around $25,000 for detached structures. If the shed would cost $35,000 to rebuild, there could be a $10,000 difference before the deductible.
Then there is the property stored inside the shed, which may involve a separate coverage question.
Your policy may still reflect the home and household you had when it was written.
Call Brenham Insurance and tell us what changed!
