Anyone else using an automatic water shut-off valve?

Insurance is tricky here in CA — the last thing you want is a water claim that could get you non-renewed. I just had a Moen Smart Water Shutoff installed, and so far I love it — I can even turn my water off from my phone 🙂

For anyone unfamiliar: this device monitors your home’s main water line and automatically shuts off the water if it detects a leak or a sudden change in flow. Could save thousands in water damage, especially if you travel a lot or have older plumbing.

They run around $300–$600 plus installation, and some insurance companies even offer a discount for having one.

Has anyone else installed one? Curious which brand you went with and how reliable it’s been.
