When was the last time you checked who’s listed as the beneficiary on your life insurance policy?

It’s one of those financial details that’s easy to set and forget, but life doesn’t always stay the same.

Marriage, divorce, growing children, the loss of a beneficiary, or simply changing your mind can all be reasons to revisit your beneficiary designations. An annual review can help make sure your policy still reflects your wishes and that the right people are listed.

A few things worth checking:

-Who is currently listed?
-Do your beneficiary percentages add up to 100%?
-Have you named contingent beneficiaries?
-Has anything in your life changed since you last reviewed your policy?

A few minutes today could help prevent a lot of confusion down the road.

Volunteering is a meaningful way to stay connected, active, and engaged all while making a difference in the lives of others.

Whether you’re passionate about animals, education, community programs, faith organizations, or supporting those in need, there are many ways to give your time and experience.

My advice is to start small, explore what feels rewarding, and remember that even a few hours can have an impact.

Giving back benefits our communities and can be just as rewarding for the person volunteering.

I encourage you to find a cause that matters to you and see where your time can make a difference. 💙

Taking care of your health is part of taking care of your future.

If joint-friendly movement is something you’re focusing on, there are plenty of ways to stay active without high-impact exercise.

A few options to consider:

-Swimming for a full-body workout with minimal impact
-Cycling, indoors or outside
-TRX exercises that let you control resistance and movement
-Modified kickboxing focused on cardio rather than contact

The goal isn’t to follow the latest fitness trend. It’s to find activities you enjoy and can realistically stick with.

😁 Just like financial planning, consistency tends to matter more than intensity.

Some things in life are easy to measure: account balances, investment returns, and how many times you’ve checked the market this week. 😉

But the things that matter most, like your values, your priorities, and what you want your money to make possible, aren’t quite as simple to put on a spreadsheet.

As J. William Fulbright put it, our values matter.

The same can be said for financial planning: your money should reflect what matters to you, not the other way around.

If you’re wondering whether your financial plan still lines up with your life, remember, I am always here to help. ❤️

Life insurance isn't just for "someday."

Getting coverage while you're younger could mean lower rates, added peace of mind as life changes, and protection when it's needed most.

For more information, I'm happy to answer your questions (and I promise to keep the insurance jargon to a minimum!). 🙃

One of the best things you can budget for isn't a bill, it's a break.

Taking time to recharge has real benefits for your physical and mental well-being. And by setting aside money for future travel, you can enjoy your vacation without adding financial stress to your return home.

A vacation fund may seem like a small goal, but it's one that supports both your financial health and your personal well-being.

Trust me, your future self will thank you! 💗

For the first time in nearly a decade, the Federal Reserve has a new chair, and with every new leader comes a new lens on the economy.

One of my favorite examples?

Former Fed Chair Alan Greenspan famously watched men's underwear sales as a signal of consumer confidence. It may sound odd, but the idea was simple: when people feel financially stretched, they often delay replacing everyday essentials.

Every Fed chair has had a different focus, shaped by the challenges of their time,
from credit markets during the financial crisis to broader measures of employment during the recovery.

The takeaway isn't whether one indicator is "right."

It's that the questions guiding interest rate decisions and economic policy evolve over time.

Understanding that bigger picture can be just as valuable as following the latest market headline.

That's why I always encourage clients to focus on context, not just the news cycle.

If you're wondering what these changes could mean for your financial plan, don't navigate them alone.

Reach out, I am always happy to help you make sense of the bigger picture. 612-310-9015

It's like they say, small changes really do add up.

Saving money doesn't always mean making big sacrifices. It can be as simple as shopping with a list, choosing store brands, or planning meals around what you already have.

Over time, those everyday decisions can make a real difference.

As a financial advisor, I know that building a strong financial future isn't just about the big milestones. It's also about creating habits that help your money work a little harder for you every day.

If you'd like guidance that's tailored to your goals, send me a message. I'd love to help you build a plan that works for you. ❤️

Not all legacies are measured in dollars.

When my mom passed away last year, she left behind more than memories, she left a tradition.

For each grandchild's high school graduation, she lovingly made a memory quilt.

There were two left unfinished, with fabric purchased and pieces already cut, waiting for someone to carry her dream forward.

In May, my dad and I delivered the final quilt to my nephew, Ben.

It was an incredible blessing to finish what Mom started and to see one more grandchild wrapped in her love, even though she's no longer here to place it on his shoulders herself.

As a financial advisor, I often talk about legacy.

While financial planning helps provide for the future, the most meaningful inheritance is often the love, values, and traditions we pass from one generation to the next.

My mom's quilts remind me that the greatest legacies are the ones that continue to warm hearts long after we're gone. ❤️

Summer Tip of the Week ☀️

The first and most important tip?

Wear sunscreen!

Even if you don't plan to spend much time in the sun.

Daily protection can go a long way, and choosing a moisturizer with SPF 30 or higher is an easy habit that pays off over time.

Another simple tip: lighten up your routine.

If you're spending more time outdoors and staying active, you may not need as many products as you do during your usual day.

Sometimes, simpler really is better.

It's a good reminder that the little things we do consistently. Whether for our health or our financial future, often have the biggest impact.

What's one small habit you're keeping up with this summer? 😁
