CWPCU has been made aware of a fake IRS Notice CP53E being mailed to members. This fake IRS notice invites the recipient to scan a QR code and enter their banking information to a malicious website that looks like the IRS but is not.

Remember, you can always log in to your IRS Online Account to see your notices, see the status of your refund, or call the official IRS phone number: 1-800-829-1040 for additional information. If you don't have an IRS Online Account, you can create one at IRS.gov.

Mark you calendars and start collecting your personal tech devices for recycling!

Through a collaboration with other local credit unions known as Financial Fraud Fighters, this event provides our members with an outlet for safely recycling tech related items that could have their personal information like phones, computers, tablets and other personal devices. The items collected will be donated to PCs for People for recycling.

Items NOT allowed for recycling: TVs, monitors over 32”, smart boards, large printers, or copiers.
