While we managed to avoid a direct impact from Hurricane Debby, the last 48 hours have brought unprecedented levels of rainfall, flooding, and destruction to numerous areas locally and across Florida.

It is now our duty to assist our neighbors, friends, colleagues, and those less fortunate. Our sympathies and prayers are with all those who have been affected by this severe weather occurrence.

We extend our gratitude to Governor DeSantis, our emergency response teams, first responders, utility companies, and government officials for their prompt and effective efforts in coordinating response efforts prior to, during, and following the hurricane.

In 2010 only 400 lawsuits filed annually. In 2022 almost 400 lawsuits are filed PER DAY!

After rulings were introduced which benefited trial lawyers, Florida saw an exponential increase in property litigation (about 95%) over a span of 5 years!

Florida’s “lawsuit factory” won’t end until we achieve meaningful legislative reform that ends this cottage industry. Sadly it’s Florida consumers who are ultimately paying the price through the highest property insurance premiums in the nation.
