Q: I paid my bill late last month, and now my next bill is double. Why?

A: If a payment is made late, the next bill may not have enough time to generate before the following month’s charges are added. This can cause two months of payments to show up on the same bill.

For example, if your August payment is made late, your September premium may be added to your October bill, making the October bill appear much higher than usual.

💡 **Don’t worry — you’re not being charged twice!** The bill is simply including two months of premium at once.

A: Yes! If you’re not transferring your license plate to another vehicle, be sure to surrender the plate to the DMV/Tax Collector’s Office.

In Florida, your license plate should be surrendered before canceling your policy or immediately afterward. Keeping an active registration without the required coverage can result in a driver’s license suspension and reinstatement fees.

A quick trip to turn in your plate can help you avoid a headache later! 😊
