Tropical Storm Dolly formed and dissipated within a few days, and this morning the National Hurricane Center isn't tracking any active systems in the Atlantic.

September is when the Atlantic tends to get busiest, as systems can go from a blip on the radar to a named storm in a matter of days.

A day with nothing on the radar is a good day to check your coverage instead of waiting until something's headed this way.

Flood insurance has a 30-day waiting period before it takes effect, so it's not something you can add once a storm is already forming. Check whether you have it, since most homeowners policies exclude it.

Take a minute today to review your policy and your hurricane deductible, too. Business owners, take a few minutes to review your backup power plan and vendor continuity.

We work with multiple carriers, which means we can shop your coverage around instead of offering just one option. If you haven't reviewed your policy in a while, this is a good week to do it.

Big news from our Personal Lines team! Sara Tappan just earned her 20-44 license, a Florida license that allows her to fully sell and service personal insurance policies.

This means every member of our Personal Lines team holds either a 20-44 or a 220 license. So, when you call us with a question or need to make a change to your policy, you're working with someone fully licensed to handle it on the spot with no extra steps in between.
