This month of February, we mark eight years since the ribbon-cutting and inauguration of the Philippine Center. A milestone that reflects a long-held dream finally brought to life through the help, faith, and support of so many in our community.

What once lived as an idea, shared in conversations, plans, and hopes—became a tahanan: a home shaped by collective effort and shared purpose. This Center stands because countless individuals gave their time, their labor, their resources, and their hearts. From planning and building to sustaining and nurturing, it was the community that made this dream real.

Over the past eight years, the Philippine Center has been more than a physical space. It has been a place where culture is preserved, stories are passed on, elders are honored, youth are inspired, and connections are formed. Every program, gathering, and celebration carries the imprint of those who believed this space was worth building and worth protecting.

As we look ahead, we carry forward the same spirit that created this tahanan. The future calls us to deepen our work, widen our reach, and continue creating a place where generations to come can find belonging, identity, and pride.

Maraming salamat to everyone who helped turn a long dream into a lasting home. This is our tahanan—built together, sustained together, and carried forward together.
