Rural Water Financing Agency To assist rural utility borrowers in obtaining low-cost, tax-exempt financing.

The Agency was established with the assistance of the Kentucky Rural Water Association ("KRWA”) to assist rural utility borrowers in obtaining low-cost, tax-exempt financing. Since 1995, KRWA has administered pooled loan programs that have provided over $1.5 billion in financing for the benefit of over 700 borrowers. The Agency's loan programs give borrowers throughout the United States the opportunity to benefit from their low cost and standardized and consistent loan process.

The Rural Water Financing Agency (RWFA) and Raymond James are pleased to share an update on RWFA’s loan programs and current interest rates.

On March 10, the Agency sold $40,985,000 in Flex Term Program Bonds, providing financing for six borrowers across five states. 💧

The next Flex Term Program bond issuance is scheduled for June 2026, with applications due May 1.

Program timing:
• Interim Loan Program funds are available on an as-needed basis
• Flex Term Program bonds are issued quarterly
