People may know me on here during the week as a financial advisor, but on weekends I'm just Dad Brad & Coach Brad.
I have always loved sports, and coached competitive middle school and high school baseball and basketball in my 20s.
Now I have a 5-year old daughter Abigail who wants to play baseball because "my Daddy is the Coach" - who is cutting onions in here??
Every Sunday for 7 weeks in the Spring, I coach a group of 13 rambunctious 5-year olds in glorified T-ball (might be a stretch), but it's a TON of fun and I really enjoy it.
Our 3 rules:
1) Have Fun
2) Always Listen to Your Coaches
3) Always Support and Cheer on Your Teammates
There is something very special about the unbridled joy this kids get from hitting the ball for the first time, running the bases, or "fielding" a ball with their mitt (read: bare hands...).
It's a privilege to get to be Coach Brad on weekends and I look forward to coaching my girls for many years to come.
PS - Yes, that is my daughter sticking her tongue out mid-swing like she's Michael Jordan LOL!
