WE’RE HIRING — INDEPENDENT INSURANCE SALES PRODUCER
Hondo / Medina County, Texas
We’re looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Property & Casualty Insurance Producer to help grow our independent insurance agency in Hondo and the surrounding area.
This is a 1099 independent contractor, commission-based opportunity for someone who wants to build their own income while having the markets, systems, training, and support of an established independent insurance agency behind them.
Compensation
50% New Business Commission
50% Renewal Commission
The concept is simple: the more business you build and retain, the larger your recurring renewal income can become.
There is no salary or guaranteed income. This opportunity is designed for someone who is comfortable being paid based on production and wants the ability to build a meaningful recurring commission stream.
This Is NOT a Traditional 9-to-5 Office Position
We’re not looking for someone to sit behind a desk in the Hondo office from 9:00 to 5:00 every day.
This is a sales and relationship-building position.
Successful producers should be comfortable getting out into the community, meeting business owners, developing referral relationships, networking, prospecting, following up with leads, meeting customers, and asking for business.
You’ll have access to our Hondo office and agency resources when needed, but this opportunity is built around production and results—not punching a clock.
As an independent contractor, you’ll have substantial flexibility in determining when and where you conduct your sales activities.
What You’ll Do
• Develop new personal and commercial insurance business
• Prospect for new customers and opportunities
• Build relationships with individuals and local business owners
• Develop referral sources throughout the community
• Gather information needed to quote insurance
• Build and compare quotes using our agency systems and insurance markets
• Present insurance options and close new business
• Follow up with prospects and customers
• Maintain relationships with the customers you produce
• Work with agency staff who assist with ongoing account servicing
What We Provide
• EZLynx agency management and quoting system access
• Agency email account
• Access to our authorized insurance carriers and markets
• Training on our quoting process and systems
• Training on carrier appetite and placement
• Quote review and insurance guidance
• Agency customer-service support
• Access to our Hondo office and agency resources when needed
What You Provide
• Your own computer
• Mobile phone
• Reliable internet
• Transportation
• Sales ability
• Self-motivation
• Relationship-building skills
• The willingness to prospect and ask for business
• A strong work ethic
Licensing
A Texas Property & Casualty insurance license is required before performing insurance production activities.
A Texas Life & Health license is preferred but not required.
Insurance experience is certainly valuable, but we’re especially interested in finding someone who can sell, build relationships, develop opportunities, and follow through.
We can teach the right person our systems, quoting process, carrier appetite, and agency procedures.
Long-Term Opportunity
We’re not looking at this as simply a short-term sales gig.
We want someone who has the desire to build a book of business and grow with the agency.
The 50% renewal commission structure rewards someone who produces business, retains customers, and stays with the agency.
For the right person who demonstrates strong production, customer relationships, professionalism, and long-term fit, there may be an opportunity in the future to transition into a larger employee role within the agency.
If you’re competitive, self-motivated, good with people, and would rather build something than simply punch a clock, we’d like to talk.
