Next Thursday, January 15th, open enrollment through the health insurance marketplace will officially end at midnight. That means you will not be able to make any changes or switch your plans unless you have a legal reason to. Open enrollment will start again late this fall for 2027. This is just a reminder to all to make sure you are covered by the insurance you prefer. If you need assistance, please call our office at 660-882-2300 and either myself or Josh can help you.

Attention to all Health Insurance Marketplace members! The companies are trying as hard as they can to get your insurance information to you. If you have a premium and you have not yet paid it, you won’t get an insurance card unless you were with them last year. If you are on auto pay, and you notice your premiums have not came out of your account yet, give it until the 8th or 9th, then, please reach out to the company and make sure they have rolled over the autopay to this year. I know this is frustrating, but it is VERY important! We as agents are limited on what we can help with and we don’t want you to go without coverage. Annual open enrollment will end on January 15th.

Happy New Year! What a beautiful few days to start the year off. I just wanted to give you a quick reminder that if you have a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan or a Medicare Advantage Plan, and you do not qualify for “extra help”, those drug deductibles, and out of pocket maxes will once again start. Please remember that you have an option to opt in to the Medicare Prescription Drug Payment Program at no extra cost to you and you will be able to pay in installments. Happy New Years Eve! Just popping in to let you know that if you made changes to your marketplace health insurance on or after the 10th of December, it is taking a little longer for the insurance companies to see those changes. Today we completed our last scheduled appointment for the year! Open enrollment for the Health Insurance Marketplace does not end until January 15th. We will be closing at 5 pm on Friday December 19th and will be closed the 22-26th. We will also be closing December 31st and January 1st for New Years. There will be plenty of time to help with enrollments!! Please reach out and let us know if you have any questions. As the evening progresses and I help a few people finish up their coverage for a January 1st effective date for health insurance, I want to remind you that the FINAL date to enroll for coverage is January 15th, and the coverage will begin February 1st. After that, you will need a legal special enrollment period in order to enroll, or wait until next year. If you or someone you know needs help, please reach out!!

As the evening draws to a close, we have once again reached another outstanding ending to the annual election period for our Medicare clients! We had some challenges this year as well as changes, and we are so grateful for our clients standing with us and allowing us to help you again!
