Today I had the opportunity to give back to Boone schools. They hosted an event for their high school students that gave them a chance to network and chat with business members. It had been a bit of a wonky week for me, and I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to make it, but I’m so glad I was. I got much more out of it than I gave. I am so excited for the future of these students. The excitement they have is contagious. Every single one of them I got a chance to chat with was courteous and respectful. I heard about so many amazing career goals - electrical linemen, musicians, nurses, cosmetologist, dentists; the list goes on and on. Shockingly, nobody said they were hoping to be an insurance agent 🤔🙃, maybe that will spark later 😉. This community of young people doesn’t just happen. Parents, along with Boone Schools staff and administration, should all be very proud of what they have created. ♥️💚♥️💚
