When we started the company back in 2006 my goal was to create as much value as we could through the services we offer. We wanted something that wasn’t complicated, that we and those close to us could use ourselves. After some time of reflecting we decided in no specific order four things we wanted from our mortgage company: friendly people to talk to, loan officers that know their trade, competit

ive pricing and great service that can move our loan quickly from start to finish. We felt if we could maintain these values as a company we’d have ourselves a great company that we would be proud of. After being in business for almost 10 years I’m happy to say we’ve been able to maintain these values as a company and are ready to take the next step in our journey by making our services available to more people. We’re certainly not without our challenges and we’ve certainly made our share of mistakes, but we’re confident our experiences have only made us stronger and more prepared for the next season. We get asked all the time what it is. He was the first lender in our world’s history that was ever written about. He lived in Lydia during the 6th century BC. It’s been a fun story to tell, but people butcher the name and it doesn’t really tell the story of the culture we desire as well as other names do. So as of October 1, 2015, we started doing business under the name Sprint Funding. Sprint Funding is very clear about our intensions and is a great reminder to our team about the service we’re aiming to provide. The name came from my friends old company that he shut down in 2007. It’s a perfect fit and we’re excited to work under that name.

Housing Starts in February were at an annual rate of 1,521,000 versus 1,430,000 expected, up 10.7% from January and 5.9% above the February 2023 rate of 1,436,000. Single‐family housing starts in February were at a rate of 1,129,000, up 11.6% from January. The February rate for units in buildings with five units or more was 377,000.

The takeaway ... With builders reducing prices and offering other incentives to increase sales along with smaller homes being built to manage higher material costs, this could help alleviate some of the inventory problems.

After five straight months of declines, Housing Starts jumped nearly 10% in February from January as the sector tries to regain its footing. Also, Building Permits, a sign of future construction, surged by almost 14%. Single-family starts, which account for the bulk of homebuilding, rose 1.1% while multi-family units soared by 24.1%.
