We have a very unique problem right now... we’re overwhelmed with quote requests. Most insurance agencies struggle to get enough opportunities, but having too many at once can also create challenges.

A big part of this growth comes from our amazing customer service, but I also want to give a special thank you to Denys English and Cumulus Media. The radio campaign has helped us reach far more people throughout Brunswick and New Hanover counties than I could have handled alone with the help of agent Mary English.

Because of this growth, we’re now in the process of bringing on a dedicated service professional to help support the agency and our clients. Once everything is finalized, we’ll introduce our new team member. We’re excited not only for the help she’ll bring to the agency, but also for the opportunity to help someone build a long-term career in the insurance industry with Cold Mountain Insurance.

Full-time: 9:00 AM – 5:30/6:00 PM (flexible lunch)

🚀 About the Role
This is an in-person, unlicensed position designed as a stepping stone into the insurance industry. You’ll support daily office operations while learning the business from the ground up.
Note: Health insurance and benefits are not currently offered but may be available in the future.

📞 Front Office / Communication
• Answer incoming calls and take messages
• Route calls to licensed agents
• Schedule appointments (no coverage discussions)

📂 Administrative / Back Office
• Data entry (quotes, applications, CRM systems like Bigin)
• Maintain client files and documentation
• Upload documents to carrier and lender portals
• Scan, email, and organize policies and declarations
• Open and process incoming mail

📄 Policy Servicing Support (Limited Scope)
• Print ID cards
• Send certificates of insurance (unaltered)
• Deliver documents prepared by licensed agents
• Receive requests for policy changes (no advising)
• Provide factual policy information (no interpretation)

💵 Payments & Transactions
• Accept payments on existing policies
• Issue receipts

📣 Marketing & Lead Support
• Assist with marketing campaigns (radio, mailers, social media)
• Organize and input leads (Fillout, Zapier, CRM)
• Refer prospects to licensed agents
• Send basic follow-ups to new inquiries
