For week 1 we will focus on the importance of using a strong password and a password manager.
For maximum security, remember three principles when creating passwords:
✅ Long - Passwords should be at least 16 characters long.
✅ Unique - If one account is compromised, unique passwords ensure your other accounts remain secure.
✅ Complex - Passwords should include a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters.
With all of our unique and complex passwords, it is helpful to use a password manager. With a password manager, you only need to remember one master password to unlock your secure vault of stored passwords.
Start protecting your digital life by creating long, unique, and complex passwords for your accounts. If changing all your passwords at once seems dauting, go slow. Find a trusted password manager and start changing weak passwords one batch at a time. Strong passwords is our strongest defense against cyber criminals!
