If you are a Thrivent client with membership, you may have Choice Dollars®️, grant funding you can point toward the churches and nonprofits you care about most. Whether you have them, and how much, is based on your prior-year qualifying product activity, so not every client has a balance and amounts vary. Here is the encouraging part: since 2010, members have directed more than $660 million to over 50,000 churches and nonprofits. Choice Dollars are set at the beginning of the year and can be directed any time through December 31, so there is no rush, just a simple way to support what matters to you.

One feature many people miss: if a cause close to your heart is not on the eligible list yet, members may nominate eligible 501(c)(3) nonprofits and churches for consideration. An organization you love could become eligible to receive this funding.

A new type of account for children officially opened this month, and it is drawing a lot of attention. The 530A account, also called a Trump Account, is designed to give kids a long runway to start building for their financial future.

Here is what we think is worth knowing: a qualified child must be a U.S. citizen under 18 with a Social Security number. Almost anyone may contribute, with total contributions capped at $5,000 a year, and children born between 2025 and 2028 are eligible for a one-time $1,000 federal contribution. The money is invested in low-cost U.S. index funds and generally stays put until the child nears adulthood, when the account is treated much like a traditional IRA.

One thing we would weigh carefully with you: these accounts have their own tax treatment and may not be the right fit for every family. Depending on your goals, other types of accounts might serve you better. We are happy to help you compare the options before you decide.

Erica recently had the opportunity to attend Thrivent's national Women's Conference and connect with fellow advisors from across the country. The event was filled with meaningful conversations, shared experiences, and opportunities to learn from women making an impact in their professions and communities.

One of the highlights of the conference was hearing from Olympic cross country skier Jessie Diggins. Jessie made history by helping Team USA earn its first Olympic gold medal in cross country skiing and has gone on to win multiple Olympic medals throughout her career. Her story of perseverance, resilience, and determination was both inspiring and unforgettable.

As a bonus, Erica even had the chance to hold Jessie's Olympic medals. Her first reaction? They were much heavier than expected! It was a powerful reminder of the incredible dedication, hard work, and sacrifice behind every achievement.

Erica left feeling inspired, grateful for the relationships built, and even more excited about the work we do every day for our CFPG clients! ✨

Tax season feels like a distant memory, but summer is one of the best times to give your taxes a quick look.

A midyear checkup does not have to be complicated. It generally means reviewing a few things while you still have time to adjust: are your records organized, is your withholding where it should be (if you owed last year, it may be running low), and have your retirement contributions kept pace with any raises, or a catch-up opportunity if you turned 50 this year?

It is also a good moment to glance at investment income and to note any major life changes, a marriage, a new child, a move, that could open up tax opportunities before year end.

A little attention now typically makes next spring a lot less stressful.
