Medicare season is here, and we know it can feel like a lot.
Between plan changes, letters in the mail, new benefits, and different deadlines, it’s completely understandable to have questions about what you should do for 2027.
At Daniel Insurance, our goal is to make the process a little easier. Here are the important dates to keep in mind:
🔎 October 1–15 | Time to Review
This is the time to review your 2027 plan options. Take a look at what’s changing with your current coverage, medications, doctors, benefits, and costs so you can feel comfortable with your decision for the year ahead.
📝 October 15–December 7 | Annual Enrollment Period
This is when you can enroll in or make changes to your Medicare coverage for 2027. Changes made during this period generally take effect January 1, 2027.
🔄 January 1–March 31 | Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period
If you’re already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan, you have one opportunity during this period to switch to another Medicare Advantage plan or return to Original Medicare.
You don’t have to figure everything out overnight. Take the time to understand your coverage, ask questions, and make the choice that feels right for your healthcare needs.
