August is National Eye Exam Month! Protect your vision with your Suffolk County Municipal Employees Benefit Fund Optical Benefit.

Eligible members and dependents can receive up to $100 annually for specified optical services from any licensed optometrist, optician, or physician of your choice.

How to Use Your Optical Benefit:
👓 Using a participating optical center? Request an optical voucher from the Fund at least 10 days before your appointment. Submit the original voucher to the provider.
👓 Using your own provider? Submit the completed original voucher and itemized bill to the Fund. If the exam was by a physician, also submit your health carrier’s payment or non-payment statement.

Please Note: Non-prescription glasses, sunglasses, and VDT glasses are excluded.

Great turnout tonight for the Feldman Kramer and Monaco Legal Services Dinner and Learn.
We had to change our meeting venue from the Benefit Fund to over at AME due to space limitations, because so many members signed up.
Steve Kramer did an awesome job explaining the importance of estate documents. Especially since all of these documents are free for our Benefit Fund members.

Full house for the AME general meeting tonight. The Benefit Fund was on hand to help members with their questions and concerns. It’s great that so many members are engaged and willing to come out on their own time. Members are frustrated. But The AME Board is working hard on the contract negotiations.
