You know your clients better than anyone. So why should someone else tell you how to serve them best? At Stifel, we understand that it can take advisors years to cultivate client relationships and build trust. That’s why, instead of serving as an impediment, we help them clear a path to success. As such, we believe in giving our advisors the resources they need along with the freedom to do what’s

best for their clients. Our culture is not that of a bank or a wirehouse, it’s…uniquely Stifel. Our advisors often tell us that working for Stifel reminds them of the “good old days,” back when hard work and entrepreneurial thinking were encouraged and rewarded and they didn’t have to worry about corporate directives dictating how they conducted their business. Do you share our client-first focus? Feel free to give me a call at (561) 982-2601, or e-mail me at [email protected], and let’s meet. Interests: Fishing, Boating, Lacrosse

After hours by appointment only.

In the latest Potomac Perspective, Brian Gardner, Stifel's Chief Washington Policy Strategist, updates views on housing legislation and the CLARITY Act. The chances that Congress will pass the House's version of the housing bill (which is more benign for the build-to-rent industry than the Senate bill) have risen, and the prospects for the Senate's bill have diminished. He maintains the view on the prospects for the CLARITY Act and notes some new complications for passing the bill in 2027.

The Senate Banking Committee approved the CLARITY Act, 15-9. Two committee Democrats joined all 13 Republicans in advancing the bill to the Senate floor. The House could vote next week on a revised housing bill. The updated bill includes a restriction, favored by the Trump administration, to limit the ownership of single-family homes by institutional investors. It is also more flexible on build-to-rent than is the Senate's housing bill. The House bill also includes several non-housing provisions which will probably be DOA in the Senate.
