I earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida and had a successful career as an Electrical Engineer with CH2M Hill, an international environmental engineering consulting firm. Upon purchasing my own home and a number of successful investment properties, I realized the challenges for the consumer to obtain insight and resources in the mortgage profession, as well as, finding professionals in this industry with the level of integrity and honesty that I felt was required with such an important financial decision. Consequently, I set out to educate myself in the financing, purchasing, and managing aspects of the real estate market. In 1988 I became a licensed mortgage broker in the state of Florida and since have obtained my license where needed in many states throughout the US. I changed my profession from electrical engineering to mortgage originating to fill the void I felt existed in the industry. I committed to providing clients with the level of service, resources and integrity that I wanted when I was a mortgage consumer and currently have a successful business that is 100% referral base built on that philosophy. In 1988, I joined Bankers Mortgage Financial Corporation as Vice President and after gaining further experience; I purchased the company in 1995. In addition to managing the company, I also remained the most productive loan originator within the Bankers Mortgage Financial Corporation. In January of 2006, I made the decision to focus on mortgage origination, as opposed to management and consequently, I moved my base of operation into a national company. This move enabled me to expand my base of business from FL to the whole US and expand the resources for my clients, while still maintaining a large base of new, as well as, existing clients. Today I am a VP of Mortgage Lending with Guaranteed Rate, one of the premier Mortgage Banking Financial Institutions in the country.
