In order for a single person to be able to afford to pay $1,934 as part of a healthy budget, meaning they pay only 30% of their income towards housing, they would need to earn an annual salary of $78,000. The average salary of a teacher in Palm Beach County is $54,000. A grocery store department manager, $66,000. The lab technician at your doctor's office is $49,000.

The median home sale price in Palm Beach County is $605,000. Factoring in current interest rates, property taxes, and homeowners' insurance, this would require a monthly payment of about $5,000.

For many people in our community today, rent is not affordable, and homeownership is not a possibility. By partnering directly with families, we are able to provide an affordable homeownership option. This would not be possible without the support of people like YOU, who help us raise the funds needed to build these affordable homes.

Habitat Homeowners pay an affordable monthly mortgage and invest a minimum of 300 partnership hours into the construction of their home.
