Our agency wanted to share some information about traffic fatalities reaching a 16-year high in 2021. Here are some important facts from 2021;

1. 42,915 people died in motor vehicle crashes in 2021 (up 10.5% from fatalities in 2020).

2. Increase in travel (after pandemic) was also up 11.2% in mileage traveled (325 billion-mile increase over 2020).

3. Fatalities in multi-vehicle crashes up 16%.

4. Pedestrian fatalities up 13%.

5. Daytime fatalities up 11%.

6. Motorcycle fatalities up 9%

Yet another great experience working with IPEP to present a grant. This time we were able to present a safety grant to the City of Bluffton. This grant provides noise canceling headphones for city workers. These headphones block out harmful noise while still allowing the workers to communicate with each other. Congrats to the City of Bluffton on continuing to do their best to provide a safe working environment to their employees.

Of course, Dan Lipp couldn't resist the opportunity to try out the new headphones. Derrick Deininger, from the City, was gracious enough to show Dan how they worked. Thanks Derrick for all your work on this grant process.

Jenny Gilliam & her role at GIA | GIA Today

We are very thankful for our CSR’s here at GIA, and today Special Agent Bret Beer and Dan Lipp sat down to chat with Jennifer Case Gilliam! Our CSR’s help us do a lot of the detailed, behind-the-scenes work that is crucial to keep everything running smoothly and efficiently.

Jenny is the “claims girl”, and it is likely that you have spoken with her on the phone if you’ve ever been in the situation of dealing with a claim. Helping clients navigate claims smoothly and painlessly is Jenny’s highlight of what she does! Maintaining the personal connection and relationship with our clients is one of the most important things to the team at GIA!

One of the best parts of our job is helping support our local community. Happy to partner with IPEP on the safety grant for Wells County Council on Aging. What an amazing service they provide to our community.

The Wells County Council on Aging was recently awarded an Indiana Public Employer's Plan (IPEP) Safety Grant Award to refurbish the steps on our six small transit vehicles. We also had a quick chat with one of our long-time clients, Tony Baumgartner, who stopped in while we were filming. Our relationship with our clients is very important to us! First and foremost, we’re here to protect you!

Emily Waggoner on Living in Japan as a Military Spouse | GIA Today

Emily Waggoner joins Dan Lipp and Bret Beer of GIA Today to discuss living in Japan as a military spouse. Emily’s husband, Josh Waggoner, is a marine and we are so thankful for his service.

Josh and Emily moved to Japan about 6 months ago when Josh got stationed there for his next assignment. They were able to come home for the holidays and we are so grateful that Emily took the time out of her visit to come chat with us about some of the things she’s experienced and learned, so far, through her time living in Japan!

Enjoy! We sure learned a lot!
