This is a solicitation for insurance, by responding to this ad, you may be contacted by a licensed agent. My specialty is navigating your healthcare needs so you can enjoy your retirement fully covered and confident that you are receiving the right insurance and additional benefits that you’ve worked so hard over the years to attain. I am originally from Warrensburg, MO, graduated college from the

University of Missouri (go Tigers!). I then spent time in Los Angeles, Chicago, Tulsa, and Kansas City. I moved back to Warrensburg in 2013 and couldn’t be happier to be raising my two daughters in the same place that I enjoyed so much throughout my childhood. I also specialize in lump-sum cancer policies, term life, and final expense insurance for all ages. I look forward to earning your trust and working with you for years to come.

For years, Medicare generally hasn't covered medications prescribed solely for weight loss.
Starting July 1, a new Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program may allow eligible beneficiaries to access certain GLP-1 medications for $50 per month.
Eligibility is based on factors like BMI and certain health conditions, so not everyone will qualify.
If you've been paying out of pocket, or assumed these medications weren't an option, this is a conversation worth having with your doctor.
As always, Medicare rules can be complicated. Make sure you're getting information specific to your situation.

Imagine enrolling in a Medicare Advantage plan because an online directory showed your doctor was in-network, only to find out later that information was wrong.
For 2026, Medicare created a temporary Special Enrollment Period for certain beneficiaries who relied on incorrect provider information in Medicare Plan Finder.
Not everyone qualifies, and Medicare must review the situation, but it's an important consumer protection that many people don't know exists.
This is also why I encourage people to verify doctors and hospitals carefully before enrolling in a plan. Networks can make a huge difference in your experience throughout the year.
If you're on Medicare Advantage and recently learned your doctor is out-of-network, it may be worth looking into your options.

If you were born in September 1961, your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period officially begins June 1, 2026.
This is the 7-month window around your 65th birthday when you can enroll in Medicare Part A and Part
B. Your window runs from June through December.
If you are already drawing Social Security, Medicare usually starts automatically and your Medicare card should be arriving in the mail.
If you are not drawing Social Security yet, you usually need to start the Medicare enrollment process yourself through ssa.gov.
This is especially important if you are still working, covered by your spouse's employer plan, have retiree coverage, COBRA, VA benefits, Tricare, an HSA, or you are not sure whether Medicare should start right away.
Turning 65 does not always mean you have to take every part of Medicare immediately, but it does mean you need to understand your options before your deadline passes.
Before you enroll, compare your current employer coverage to Medicare. Look at the monthly premium, deductible, copays, prescription costs, provider networks, HSA rules, and whether your current coverage is considered creditable.
If you were born in September 1961 and you are confused about Medicare enrollment, Part B, employer insurance, Social Security, Medicare cards, or when to start Medicare, this is your sign to get the conversation started. Let's compare the numbers before you make a decision.

Medicare is personal.
Your doctors matter.
Your prescriptions matter.
Your budget matters.
Your comfort level matters.
And there can be real risk when you’re trying to make a Medicare decision without the full picture.
These are a few kind words from clients I’ve helped recently, and this is exactly why I love what I do.
Whether you’re turning 65, retiring soon, already on Medicare, or helping a parent sort through their options, having someone walk through the details with you can make the process feel a lot less overwhelming.
I help people understand their Medicare options so their coverage fits their doctors, prescriptions, budget, and needs.
