Unfortunate, but not unexpected, news here about insurance markets. Expect premium increases to go along with this. For example, industry wide car insurance companies took in $1.00 in premiums and had almost $1.10 in expenses.

Poor personal lines underwriting performance is the key driver for deteriorating results, with a personal auto combined ratio forecast of 109.5 for 2023.
