A guy walked up to me at local restaurant where my wife and I were having lunch. He said State Farm was looking for insurance agents. I was a salesman at UP Railroad. They were offering buy-outs to employees to reduce labor cost. We were there to discuss the pros and cons of taking the buy-out. I was actually considering using the buy-out money to open a subway in St Paul, MN before he approached.

I became a State Farm agent instead and it is still a good decision. About Tony:

Tony a native of Omaha, Ne. (Nebraska football fan) was working for Union Pacific RR
in 1980 when he was promoted to Sales Representative and Transferred to the Twin Cities. Tony was responsible for managing major accounts which included Target,
General Mills, 3M and Cennex. generating over 100 million in annual freight revenue
for Union Pacific. In 1989 Tony completed his Bachelors in Business from Metropolitan State University. That same year he left Union Pacific to start his own business as a State Farm Insurance
agent. He originally opened an office in South Mpls. and moved to Burnsville in 1994. Tony and his wife Eileen have been residents of Burnsville since 1983. They have been married for 33 years they have 6 children and 9 grandchildren.
