🚗 Cruise for a cause this Labor Day weekend!

Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services is celebrating the 25th Annual Auto, Bike, Trike, Tractor, Jeep & Garden Tractor Show on Saturday, September 5, at Hobson Auto in Bedford. IU Credit Union is proud to sponsor this year’s event and support the important work Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services does for local cancer patients.

More than a great day for car enthusiasts, this annual event helps provide direct assistance to local cancer patients. All proceeds benefit Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services, helping provide resources such as fuel cards, medical supplies and nutritional supplements to patients during treatment.

🚘 Vehicle registration: 9 a.m.–Noon | $20 per entry
🏆 Awards begin at 3:30 p.m.

The day will also include food, a silent auction and a 50/50 drawing—and it’s happening rain or shine!

⚠️ Fake Indiana BMV websites are getting harder to spot.

Scammers may send texts or emails claiming you have an unpaid ticket, toll or other BMV-related fee, then direct you to a website designed to look legitimate. Some fraudulent sites can even provide fake receipts or confirmation numbers after payment.

Before entering personal or payment information:
• Don’t use a link sent in an unexpected text or email.
• Check the website address carefully.
• Go directly to the Indiana BMV’s official website instead.
• If something feels urgent or unusual, pause and verify before paying.

A website can look official and still be fake. Taking a few extra seconds to verify where you are can help protect your personal and financial information.
