Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when news of freedom reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas. Today, it is a time to honor freedom, reflect on history, and celebrate Black culture, resilience, and community.

Looking for ways to celebrate in Bloomington? The City of Bloomington’s Juneteenth Celebration will take place tomorrow at Switchyard Park with food trucks, vendors, community activities, and live entertainment.

A beautiful day to give back! ☀️

IU Credit Union employees Carly, Marisa, Lauren, and Ava volunteered at New Hope for Families during Bloomington Women in Leadership’s Engage event.

The group helped clean up the front porch while supporting a local organization doing important work in our community. And as you can tell by the second photo, they brought plenty of energy and fun to the day!
