I'm so appreciative to the BBOR for this update! I drove past the old hospital several times this weekend and am excited to see what they do with the space. We definitely need more housing available in Bloomington.

Great insight here! We all know that the housing shortage in Bloomington is a problem, and this article does a great job at explaining the greater impact. A housing shortage impacts the local economy, environment, individual wellness, and increases inequality. A lack of housing creates a domino effect for the entire community.

Economic inequality in the US can be traced in part back to the housing shortage. It's hard to hold a job or raise kids if you can't afford a home.

Rates are climbing but historically, they aren't that high.

Some real estate professionals are panicking, as rates climb, there have even been layoffs as companies clutch their pearls at the slowing market. However, those who understand the market, know the cyclical nature of it and are pushing through towards lower rates and brighter days.
