We’re excited to welcome Peter as a summer intern to Farmers and Mechanics. A Bloomfield native, Peter recently graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. This fall, he’ll return to Taylor to complete his Master’s degree while finishing his final season with the university’s basketball team. We’re proud to have him on board and look forward to all he will accomplish.

J. Albert Jackson played an important role in the history of Farmers and Mechanics, serving as Secretary beginning in 1936 before becoming President in 1965. His leadership extended beyond our Association, as he was elected to the Federal Home Loan Bank Board of Directors in 1951 and went on to serve two terms.

This certificate marks his election to a second term from 1953 to 1955—a reflection of the trust placed in his experience and dedication.

At Farmers and Mechanics, we’re proud to carry forward a tradition of leadership that supports both our customers and our community.

Please help me in congratulating Janet Burks for receiving the Y.A.C. for this quarter. Janet exemplifies each part of our values. She has taken opportunities to learn and grow throughout her career, dedicating herself to be the best version of her. She constantly gives to the team, dedicating herself to all of us. She holds some of us accountable because she knows our potential. She takes on extra tasks to help some of us make it through our to-do lists, including areas completely outside her department. She is also dedicated to the customer: developing procedures which benefit the customer, taking time out of her overwhelming schedule to further relationships with our customers, and showing the rest of us a great example through her non-profit service work in the community.
