The National Bank of Blacksburg is pleased to welcome George Vaughan as Vice President/Loan Officer. In this role, he will partner with Lynchburg-area customers to meet their commercial lending needs and unique financial objectives.

“I take pride in being ready to serve my customers with thoughtful guidance and personalized solutions,” George said. “Whether you’re planning for growth, managing day-to-day finances, or taking the next big step, I look forward to helping you achieve your goals with the trusted support and local expertise National Bank provides.”

George brings over twenty years of banking experience to his role, with a focus on commercial banking for the past ten years. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Washington College in Chestertown, MD, and is currently enrolled at the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.

A native of Clarke County, Virginia, George now resides in the Lynchburg area with his wife and their two children, ages 17 and 15. When he is not at the bank, he enjoys golfing, hunting, skiing, and traveling.

The National Bank of Blacksburg is pleased to announce the promotion of Lori Baker-Lloyd to Senior Vice President of Administration & Corporate Secretary. In this role, she oversees the Human Resources and Marketing departments, with a focus on talent management and organizational effectiveness.

National Bank President and CEO, Lara Ramsey, stated, “Lori has made a positive and meaningful impact since joining the bank in 2025. Her leadership has strengthened our culture and enhanced our organization, and we look forward to her continued contributions.”

Lori earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University and a master’s degree in strategic communication and leadership from Seton Hall University. She brings extensive experience across the financial services, education, entertainment, and non-profit sectors to her role at the bank.

A Roanoke, Virginia native, Lori serves on the boards of Blue Ridge Literacy and United Way of the Blue Ridge, and she is a member of the Roanoke Kiwanis Club. She currently lives in Roanoke with her husband, Colin.

May 21, 1891 - The Beginning
The Commonwealth of Virginia issued a charter to a brand-new bank: The Bank of Blacksburg.
