It's a FEEL GOOD Friday, kind of day! 🙌 We had the pleasure of a visit from Black River Health's Sarah Osegard and Jordan Simonson to personally deliver a significant donation for our Feel Good. Fresh Start. initiative! With the kindness and generosity of Black River Health's team, local middle schoolers in need at the School District of Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan, School District of Black River Falls, School District of Blair-Taylor, and Melrose-Mindoro School District will have access to shampoo/conditioner and body wash in their Feel Good. Fresh Start. wellness kits.

Members of Black River Country Bank's WE. GIVE. Team 🫶 Karolyn, Amy, Emily, and Tracy 🫶 were on-hand to celebrate the donation and get ready to roll-up their sleeves preparing the FGFS kits before the school year starts!

🎉 We wrapped-up our 10-Week Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley- Lunda Center Financial Wellness Summer Program with a BRCB Tour, Awarding of Certificates, & Ice Cream Sundae CELEBRATION in the Board Room!! 🎉

The Club Kids (A.K.A. the “Sharks”) had a beautiful day to walk down Main Street to Black River Country Bank and reconnect with our team who has been visiting and learning with them all summer at the BGC! It was a perfect opportunity for the Club Kids to reflect on their learnings, see some financial concepts in action, and become a part of some real life, behind-the-scenes banking experiences.

The tour gave them a sneak peek of our Lending Department, Customer Service Area, Operations Department, and even a stop at our BRCB President’s office, where they then received a personal tour of the vault room. 🙌

Of course no celebration would be complete without acknowledging and recognizing the Club Kids’s fantastic engagement throughout their 10-Week Financial Wellness Program — for which they received their Certificates of Achievement. Lastly🍨 ICE CREAM SUNDAES (with cherries 🍒 on top!)! 🍨

Huge, THANK YOU to Boys & Girls Club — Lunda Center Director, Rebekka Kundert, and her extraordinary TEAM for allowing us another amazing summer of learning, sharing, and growing with our Club Kids!! 💙

It's hard to believe (and frankly it makes us a little sad) that we're nearing the end of our Summertime with the SHARKS at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley- Lunda Center. We still have a couple weeks left of learning and growing together during our time spent mentoring and sharing, for their long-term financial wellness (WE here at BRCB are better for it too!).

These Club Kids have been such a delight, so engaged, and so bright! Our FUTURE looks even BRIGHTER with these kiddos in it!!

While the 2026 Jackson County Fair has now closed, we're still reflecting on all of the fantastic experiences our Team BRCB had alongside many of our friends, family, and neighbors across the county. We are always rooting for the Jackson County Fair Exhibitors ... ALL of them. Whether involved with showing Dairy, Beef, Poultry, Hogs, Goats, Lambs, Bunnies -- or Exhibiting Produce, Flowers, Foods, Photos, Textiles, Woodwork, and Metals ... you name it these Exhibitors can produce it! It brings joy to be able to observe, experience, encourage, and even reward all of their time, energy, care, learning, mentoring, and expense that goes into the process. Such an amazing tradition that keep getting better every year because of the hard work so many are vested in. It definitely takes a village and we have one of THE BEST around!

A highlight for us here at BRCB is being able to partipate and bid during the (always exciting!) Junior Livestock Auction. This year, we were especially tickled to be the Winning Bidder for Brady Blaken's Fine Market Hog ... CONGRATULATIONS, Brady!

The generosity continues to FLOW in for our Feel Good. Fresh Start. for Middle Schoolers initiative here at BRCB! 🫶 THANK YOU, BRF Studio 107, for the Donation of 200 Combs to help create and fill our FGFS wellness kits! The kids will be looking good and FEELING GOOD about themselves as they start a fresh new school year!!
