June always seems to arrive fast!

One minute we’re talking about school being out, lake weekends, ballgames, travel plans, teen drivers, and summer projects… and the next minute, someone realizes they haven’t looked at their coverage in a while.

That’s usually how these conversations start. 💙

Not with panic. Not with pressure. Just real life happening.

A quick storm season reminder from your insurance agent ☔️🏠

This time of year, claims calls start picking up — roofs, water damage, AC leaks, storm concerns, and contractors moving quickly to help.

A gentle reminder:

Before filing a claim, it may be worth slowing down long enough to understand a few things:
• what happened and what caused the damage
• whether the damage may exceed your deductible
• what your policy deductible is
• how the claim process works with your specific carrier
• whether a contractor or restoration company can provide an estimate first

A contractor can often inspect damage and provide an estimate without needing an insurance scope or claim number first.

That can be incredibly helpful when deciding next steps.

Every claim situation is different, and sometimes filing a claim makes complete sense. Other times, gathering information first can help you make a more informed decision.

One of the most valuable things you can do before moving forward is understand your options clearly — including deductible responsibilities and how claims activity may affect your policy at renewal.

Storm season can feel urgent. My goal is always to help clients slow the process down just enough to ask good questions and understand what comes next.

One thing I’ve noticed more and more lately is how many families truly consider pets part of the family… because they are.

And just like everything else we care deeply about, unexpected things can happen.

That’s one reason I’ve appreciated learning more about Liberty Mutual’s Pet Insurance options.

Depending on the plan selected, pet insurance may help with eligible expenses related to accidents, illnesses, emergency care, medications, surgeries, and even optional wellness care like routine checkups or vaccinations.
